Our SustainabilityJourney
Empowering a greener future
Custodian are proud to lead the way in sustainable business solutions, constantly evolving and adapting our everyday operations to minimise our impact.
We are committed to full transparency with our clients, partnering with them to achieve the most sustainable solutions.
Our current sustainability strategy includes;
-
ISO 9001 Certified
Custodian operates a detailed quality management system (QMS) for all aspects of our business. We are ISO-certified based on this quality system.
-
FSC certified
Custodian have worked with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an independent, non-governmental organisation that promotes the responsible management of the world’s forests. We have successfully achieved the FSC Chain-of-Custody certificate, meaning that the paper materials we use come from well-managed forests and that rigorous standards have been met throughout the entire supply chain, from the forest all the way to the finished product.
-
Carbon balancing
We provide Carbon Balanced Paper through the World Land Trust. This enables us to measure and offset unavoidable carbon emissions of printed marketing communications.
-
EcoVadis Approved
EcoVadis assess how well a company has integrated the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility into their business and management system. Custodian was awarded a Gold recognition level by EcoVadis, scoring in the top 5% of the 45,000 companies worldwide who use EcoVadis.
-
Carbon Quota
In 2023, Custodian integrated a carbon footprint calculator into our solutions through our partner, CarbonQuota. We can calculate the carbon footprint of every production project we undertake, allowing us to benchmark our progress and identify opportunities to reduce this further. This also encompasses the output of recycling or disposal at the end-of-life stage of printed materials, so you can trust that your brand is accounted for across the entire campaign.
-
Carbon Disclosure Project
In 2023, Custodian became a member of CDP, a global not for profit organisation that provides a disclosure system for investors, companies, cities and governments to measure how much carbon is being generated by their actions. We achieved a B score, higher than the average for the Irish marketing and web sector. This reflects our coordinated strategy to tackle climate issues. Along with over 23,000 companies, we will continue to harness the power of data through transparency and accountability to create a path to a sustainable future.
